Israel Matzav: Moonbat McKinney refuses to sign deportation papers, will be deported in 3 days

Moonbat McKinney refuses to sign deportation papers, will be deported in 3 days

CNN is reporting that former Congresscritter Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) is being held in a detention center in Ramle and will be deported to the United States in three days. The only reason she is not being sent back sooner is that she refuses to sign the deportation papers.

McKinney was arrested along with 20 other people trying to run Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

Israel Navy blocks blockade busting ship; UPDATE: Ship boarded and towed to Ashdod

Israel's Navy has blocked the Spirit of Humanity S.S. Moonbat from reaching the shore of the Gaza Strip. At the moment, the ship is in international waters off Israel's coast. One of those aboard is former US Representative Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.).

The Free Gaza ship, The Spirit of Humanity, left Cyprus early Monday and reached the edge of Israeli maritime jurisdiction on Monday night, after crossing from Lebanese waters. Israeli naval vessels apparently contacted the ship and blocked its progress south to Gaza in the middle of the night. Activists on board claimed they were threatened and had their navigational equipment electronically jammed by the IDF.

Israel Matzav: SS Moonbat blocked by Cyprus

SS Moonbat blocked by Cyprus

'Activists' from the 'Free Gaza' movement, including former US Representative Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.), were held up by Cypriot authorities who insisted on inspecting their dinghies before letting them try to run a blockade and enter Gaza.

Department chief Sergios Sergiou said that a fishing boat and a small ferry that the Free Gaza Group were to use for the trip from Cyprus to Gaza had not undergone safety inspections which would take "at least a few days" to complete.

"It's a dangerous trip," Sergiou told the Associated Press. "The vessels must undergo a general inspection before they are allowed to go."

Israel Matzav: Oh joy! Look who wants to come back to Gaza

Oh joy! Look who wants to come back to Gaza

The so-called 'Free Gaza' movement has given notice that it plans to try to run the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip three times over the course of the coming summer. The first attempt will start on this coming Thursday, June 25 (the third anniversary of Gilad Shalit's kidnapping), and will include 15 tons of cement, a material that Israel has prohibited from reaching Gaza because it is used to make weapons. The group's web site (which I refuse to link) reports that the other two trips will be on July 14 and August 22.
