The moment of truth?
This time it seems to be for real.
The security cabinet met three times on Sunday, and is meeting again on Monday morning. There is apparently a deal on the table. Israel Radio just reported that Netanyahu is opposed to sending terrorists who murdered Jews with their own hands to their former homes in Judea and Samaria. He is apparently willing to send them to Gaza. Not good.
While every Israeli sympathizes with the Shalit family's plight, it's obtuse to put hundreds of civilians at risk to free one soldier.
More later today.
