Israel rejects Solana call for imposed 'peace'
Israel has rejected as 'dangerous' a call made on Saturday by EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana for the United Nations to impose terms of 'peace' on Israel if it does not succeed in reaching an agreement with the 'Palestinians' by a date determined by the UN.
Israel Matzav: Israel rejects Solana call for imposed 'peace'"Resolutions 242 and 338 of the United Nations, the roadmap [peace plan] and agreements between Israel and the Palestinians all cautiously determine that the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will only be reached through negotiations by the sides," the [foreign] ministry said in a statement.
