Dealing with the 'Palestinian Authority's torture
Last week, I posted that the 'Palestinian Authority' has finally admitted that it tortures 'prisoners' of all stripes. The Wall Street Journal asks where the critics are regarding that report. Here's the bottom line:
So here's the state-of-play in the department of moral outrage. When Britain is accused of abetting U.S. interrogations, lawsuits, investigations, and threats to try Tony Blair for war crimes quickly follow. When Israel attacks Hamas in order to end rocket launches on its soil, it risks a session before the International Criminal Court. But when the West funnels billions to a Palestinian government whose abuses are brazen and ongoing, there is mainly silence.
Indeed. The West is so committed to the 'poor Palestinian' narrative and to the notion that a 'Palestinian state' will solve the World's problems that it is incapable of seeing what is really going on or confronting it.
