SENJOU NO MERII KURISUMASU / FURYO / MERRY CHRISTMAS MR. LAWRENCE
Tonight I just got tired of watching TV. So I searched amongst my DVD's for something to see. This was my first choice:
And I'm glad I did so. It's a good idea that, from time to time, we go back and review a good movie. Without any doubt, MERRY CHRISTMAS MR. LAWRENCE, is one of the films I 'm not tired to see again and again. Bowie and Sakamoto bring to the screen one of the biggest explosions of emotions and mixed feelings ever shooted.
Love, Hate, Honour, Duty, Courage, are no simple matters to be dealt in a light or manichaean way, and the clash between all this concepts is well achieved in the picture.
So I must be grateful to Mr. Nagisa Oshima, David Bowie, Ryuichi Sakamoto for the wonderful evening watching "Senjou no Merii Kurisumasu" or Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.
Thank you,
DomoArigato..
